We were desperate to find a way to make a large dining table of the last pieces of a beautiful cedar that we found at the local wood retailer. In the middle flows a river of partially transparent epoxy resin, which shows the natural edge of this noble wood in a new light. The legs are metal, painted with chalk paint and coated with ultra-matt varnish. Epoxy resin was also used to fill cracks and wooden knots. We adored the looks of a partially removed bark on live edges, so it seemed essential to preserve it.
